Pastor-teachers do more than teach. They are called to lead—leadership that requires they be, both individually and collectively, sober-minded.
We need men who are eager to teach. Not just men willing to have their arm bent once in a while to fill a slot.
While we may struggle now with how the eternal destruction of the wicked could be a cause for joy, we won’t struggle forever.
Brothers, we have permission to set aside our next sermon, open the Book, and simply tend to our own heart for an unhurried season each day.
