Discipling: A Conversation Between Mark Dever and Jonathan Leeman

Interview
07.27.2016

“If you say you’re a Christian, but you’re not helping other Christians follow Jesus, I’m simply not sure what you mean.”

This is Mark Dever’s basic assessment of the connection between discipling and the Christian life. It’s just something Christians do. But questions remain:

  • How does discipling actually work?
  • In what contexts does it flourish?
  • What does discipling have to do with the local church?
  • Can all Christians disciple? Or only the mature ones?

In our latest interview, Jonathan Leeman sat down with Mark for a chat about these questions and other issues related to discipling. If you’re interested in learning more about this topic, they used Mark’s new book, Discipling: How to Help Others Follow Jesus, as their guide. We pray you’ll find the conversation helpful.
