Carlisle Avenue Baptist Church

April 27, 2009

Since its inception in 1911, CABC has been a great commission church. Carlisle Avenue moved to the corner of Taylor Boulevard and Carlisle Avenue in 1924. Under the leadership of some very gifted pastors God has used this church to lead thousands to faith in Christ, plant many churches, and to give over a million dollars to the SBC Cooperative Program. Therefore, the church has had a strategic leadership role in the city and in the Southern Baptist Convention life. While Carlisle happily draws commuters from all across the broader Louisville area, the church also is aggressively attempting to reach the mission field of south Louisville.
