We’re a young church in Central London, committed to glorifying God, building up believers, and loving the lost.
We’re located about 5 min. walk from Farringon tube station.
The church was planted by two British pastors (Tom Drion and Ross Orgill) in 2011, both of whom trained at The Master’s Seminary in California and interned at Grace Community Church under John MacArthur.
Since then the church has grown (congregation approx 200 in Jan 2018), and continues to grow as God pleases. A third pastor Adam Waller (also a TMS grad.) joined the team in 2015, and we are now looking to the future to train men for the ministry and church-plant as the Lord enables us.
We focus on expository preaching through books of the Bible, on gathering to worship and build each other up in fellowship, and upon scattering to evangelise.
The multi-ethnic congregation is made up of people from across London who come for the solid Biblical teaching, and commitment to obedience to Christ at all levels, exemplified by Mark Dever’s “9 Marks of Healthy Church.”
We have a commitment to content-driven worship, and prioritise faithfulness to the truth over form or style. We also see nothing wrong in employing modern instruments and the more neutral musical styles in accompanying our worship, while we avoid any style of music that we think would embody rebellion or distract us from worshipping our God.
We have a growing media outreach ministry, thelondongap.com which is combined with an evangelistic effort to reach the lost millions of London with the gospel, with the urgency that a belief in both heaven and hell demands.
We’re committed to evangelism, first and foremost with every Christian seeking to be obedient in this area within their own sphere, but also by those who are able, engaging in local outreach to the neighbourhood in which the chapel is located, and more widely to the city by reaching the great crowds of people — many of whom will have no connection or contact with a local church.
London is large, and we are small, but God is bigger than both our need and that of our city, which gives us the hope that by teaching God’s people the whole counsel of God, and by trusting God and reaching out to the lost, He can enable us to impact this city, and our generation in a great way for His glory.
