Among the many things 2020 has made more complicated, there is caring for members who are unwilling to come back to church. Some hate that they aren’t attending, but either their health or other circumstances make their non-attendance a wise choice. Others, however, seem to have less clear reasons.

How can pastors believe the best about every member? How can they care for those who are unwilling to attend, at least for now? How can they pastor the absent? Is that even possible?
